Galerie Oniris is delighted to participate in the 19th edition of Drawing Now Paris, which will take place from March 25 to 29, 2026, at the Carreau du Temple in the Marais district of Paris.
Created in 2007, Drawing Now Paris is Europe's leading contemporary art fair exclusively dedicated to drawing. In spring 2026, Oniris will be participating in this drawing-focused fair for the eleventh time.
For the 2026 edition, Galerie Oniris is presenting a dialogue between works on paper by Philippe Cognée, the artist in focus at the stand, and Jean-Pierre Pincemin. This juxtaposition highlights the richness of the plastic approaches to drawing, considered both as a place for formal experimentation and as an autonomous space for thought.
Colleagues and teachers at the École des Beaux-Arts in Angers in the early 1990s, Philippe Cognée and Jean-Pierre Pincemin maintained a lasting intellectual and artistic exchange until Pincemin's death in 2005. Their relationship, based on mutual recognition, reveals both sensitive affinities and fruitful divergences in their approach to material, gesture, and process. Drawing appears here as a privileged terrain where these questions unfold, between rigor, intuition, and the painter's memory.
