In Rennes, an industrial warehouse is being transformed into an artistic experimentation space with the Surfaces project. Five artists and 25 graduates from the EESAB-Rennes site are taking over the transitional space and inviting visitors to immerse themselves in their worlds.
On one side, Une forme de politesse (A Form of Politeness), an exhibition by Aurélie Gravelat, François Perrodin, Carole Rivalin, Claude Rutault, and Étienne Taburet, with the support of Blandine Chavanne and Anne Dary. What imaginations are at work today in the construction of cities, particularly spaces open to the public? Land use is now a key issue in the development of our territories.
On the other, Les Creux forment les montagnes (Hollows Form Mountains), an exhibition by the 2025 art, design, and graphic design graduates of EESAB-Rennes. An exhibition that surveys five years of study, research, and creation and prepares for what comes next. Patiently assembled sculptures, ongoing research projects, spontaneous gestures on the wall: the works on display are as much points of arrival as they are new starting points.
