Walter Leblanc (1932–1986), one of the leading figures in kinetic and optical art in the mid-20th century, does not enjoy the recognition he deserves. This comprehensive monograph, edited by Francesca Pola, is the first to be produced for a broad international audience.

It includes important documents that have never been published before and, in addition to Leblanc's art, offers an overview of the ZERO group of artists, with whom Leblanc was in close contact from the 1950s onwards. Walter Leblanc is based on extensive international research into the artist's work. In addition to some 150 images of his paintings, sculptures, and other similar works, the book includes photographs and historical documents, texts by the artist, an iconographic study of works in museums, and a bio-bibliographical appendix.

The book highlights the breadth and quality of his work and the important role he played in the overall development of modern and contemporary art.
