To celebrate Vera Molnar's (almost) 100th birthday, this book is an expanded edition of the 2012 publication that accompanied her retrospective in Rouen. This bilingual book includes the main texts by authors and specialists on Vera Molnar's work, which have been reprinted and translated. Enriched with new texts, this reference monograph includes six writings by the artist, an updated chronological biography of her last ten years of production, and a foreword by Vincent Baby (editor). These texts constitute the most comprehensive corpus to date for understanding Vera Molnar's work. In addition, there is a renewed selection of images from various private and public collections, as well as works from the artist's studio. In total, the book features around 280 works, representative of the artist's different periods of work.
To pay tribute to her, the Centre Pompidou has organized an exhibition from February 2024 to September 2024, presenting works from its collection: paintings, works on paper, sculptures, photographs, and NFTs, as well as a large wall installation in the museum's Gallery on level 4.
