Galerie Oniris at Signatures Art Fair 2026: A Fair Dedicated to Art Editions

From Friday, November 13 to Sunday, November 15, 2026, Galerie Oniris invites you to the Carreau du Temple in Paris for the inaugural edition of Signatures Art Fair, a new event dedicated to numbered and limited-edition artworks. Taking place in the heart of the Parisian autumn art season, this new fair brings together around forty French and international galleries and publishers, united by a shared commitment to promoting artistic editions, supporting artists and making original artworks accessible to collectors and the public. In an art world where photography and various image-based practices occupy an important place, Signatures Art Fair also aims to restore visibility to printmaking and multiples, artistic forms that offer new possibilities for the dissemination and collecting of contemporary art. For this inaugural edition, Galerie Oniris is presenting a special exhibition dedicated to editions by Atelier Fanal, Basel. This selection pays tribute to a major print publisher whose activities are now coming to an end after several decades of collaboration with leading artists associated with Concrete Art and Geometric Abstraction.

Atelier Fanal, Basel: A Leading Publisher of Concrete Art and Geometric Abstraction

Founded in Basel, Switzerland, Atelier Fanal has developed an internationally recognised publishing practice over several decades in the field of contemporary printmaking. Its history is closely linked to Concrete Art, Geometric Abstraction and artistic research into form, line and colour.

By supporting numerous artists in the production of their editions, Atelier Fanal has contributed to promoting and disseminating demanding artistic approaches based on compositional rigour, precision of execution and exploration of the possibilities offered by printing techniques. Its technical expertise and exacting standards have resulted in works of remarkable artistic quality. Each edition reflects an in-depth dialogue between the artist's vision and the mastery of printing processes.

Prints produced in Basel are particularly distinguished by the precision of their lines, the subtlety of their geometric balances and the accuracy of their colours. They perfectly illustrate the richness of an artistic practice in which printing techniques become a genuine means of expression. Today, as Atelier Fanal's activities draw to a close, the presentation organised by Galerie Oniris takes on particular significance. It constitutes a tribute to this distinctive publisher and its longstanding commitment to artists and art editions.

An Exceptional Artistic Legacy: The Artists of Atelier Fanal

The selection presented by Galerie Oniris at Signatures Art Fair 2026 brings together editions created in collaboration with several major artists associated with Concrete Art and Geometric Abstraction.

The artists featured include:

    • Ode Bertrand
    • Geneviève Claisse
    • Gerhard Doehler
    • Gottfried Honegger
    • Vera Molnar
    • Aurelie Nemours
    • Yves Popet
    • François Perrodin
    • Marie-Thérèse Vacossin
    • Shizuko Yoshikawa

These artists have developed distinctive approaches to geometry, colour, rhythm and the construction of space. Their works demonstrate the diversity of abstraction, ranging from rigorous geometric compositions to highly sensitive explorations of form and colour. Through these collaborations, Atelier Fanal has contributed to the dissemination of a remarkable artistic heritage, giving these works a new dimension through printmaking techniques.

Contemporary Printmaking: Between Technical Precision and Artistic Creation

Printmaking occupies an essential place in the history of modern and contemporary art. It allows artists to explore the relationships between drawing, painting, geometry and colour, while opening up new possibilities for the dissemination of their work.In Concrete Art and Geometric Abstraction, printing techniques provide a particularly rich field for experimentation. Repetition, variation, layering and precision of form become fundamental elements of the creative process. Atelier Fanal's editions perfectly illustrate this meeting of technical excellence and artistic research. They bear witness to a close collaboration between artists and the workshop, in which the quality of the printing process directly contributes to the identity of each artwork. The selection presented by Oniris therefore invites visitors to rediscover printmaking as an art form in its own right, whose visual richness and exceptional craftsmanship deserve particular attention.

Galerie Oniris: A Longstanding Collaboration with Atelier Fanal

The presentation at Signatures Art Fair 2026 continues a longstanding collaboration between Galerie Oniris and Atelier Fanal. By choosing to highlight these editions, the gallery wishes to share with collectors, art enthusiasts and visitors a collection of works that are sometimes rarely exhibited, reflecting the history and quality of the work produced in Basel. This selection also provides an opportunity to rediscover important artists of Geometric Abstraction and Concrete Art through a particular medium: printmaking. True to its commitment to contemporary creation and the diversity of artistic practices, Oniris continues its work of presenting and promoting original artworks and artists' editions.
