Norman Dilworth - Works That Becomes - été 2014 - Oniris

Overview

Norman Dilworth works with geometric shapes, which he cuts out or repeats in a rigorous system. Mathematics has always been the one subject that has held his attention from a very early age.

Like a child, the sculptor likes to experiment with his ideas, cutting, sawing, assembling, gluing... The manufacturing process is generally based on the evolutionary capacity of a form: it is divided or multiplied almost infinitely. Norman Dilworth then makes numerous sketches and multiple drawings. He plays with mathematical rules, creating models at first, before transposing the sculpture into dimensions that can sometimes be monumental.
