Art screen printer and publisher Éric Seydoux is honored through an exhibition organized in partnership with the Bibliothèque nationale de France.
Éric Seydoux (1946-2013), screen printer and publisher, left his mark on art publishing through his technical rigor and commitment to artists. Trained in the United States and then in Paris, in 1974 he co-founded L'Atelier, a creative space where several generations of artists, from comics to the contemporary avant-garde, came together. His expertise led to collaborations with Pierre Buraglio, Shirley Jaffe, Claude Viallat and many others. Promoted to Master of Art in 2008, he constantly explores the possibilities of screen printing, blending innovation and tradition.
The exhibition retraces the milestones of his forty-year career, from his formative years marked by May '68, to his many collaborations with contemporary artists, to the founding of his own printing works. Over 200 works are on display, signed by several generations of artists - painters, illustrators, draughtsmen, sculptors and graphic designers.
