March 28–August 30, 2026
In the spring and summer of 2026, the Chantilly Lace Museum will present a group exhibition titled “Arachnéen,” inspired by the Greek myth of Arachne. This concept evokes the web, the thread, the delicacy of networks, and the patience of weaving—all dimensions central to the works on display.
Bringing together a variety of media—drawing, photography, and sculpture—the exhibition explores a sensitive world where organic motifs, references to the living world, and precise execution converge. The artists, including Brankica Žilović, develop forms that oscillate between scientific observation and visual poetry, between intimate narratives and mythological imaginaries.
“Arachnéen” highlights the connections between the materiality of the line and the lightness of structures, inviting us to consider drawing as a matrix: an imprint, a map, or a trace of perceptions. The exhibition thus offers an exploration of the interconnections of life and the fragility of the balances that compose it.
