For the past few years, Soo Kyoung Lee has been making cut and painted wooden works. These works follow a long phase of reflection on the medium of painting. They are in complementarity with the works on canvas: indeed, in these two mediums, the very pure forms of the lines and the colors answer each other as usually in its practice of painting where the plans and the interstices are combined with mystery.
