The works of Brankica Žilović have always been closely linked to cartography, landscape, and the relationship we have with our environment, whether urban or natural.

Born in Serbia, Brankica Žilović moved to France to pursue her studies at the Beaux-Arts de Paris, where she developed a unique approach combining traditional and contemporary techniques.

Over the years, Brankica has distinguished herself through her ability to incorporate autobiographical elements into her work, thereby creating a dialogue between her Serbian roots and her experience in France. The works on display in this solo exhibition at the Villa Médicis in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés bear witness to this duality.

Designated a Musée de France in 2003, the Saint-Maur museum was founded at the beginning of the 20th century. It continues to maintain its vitality by regularly updating its offerings of exhibitions and events.
