contemporary music in Rennes Jan. 15 > Feb. 17, 2026 On Friday, February 6, 2026, the Oniris gallery will host the Autres Mesures contemporary music festival for the second time, featuring a unique concert by guitarist Ryan Kernoa. In 2026, with this 11th edition, the Autres Mesures contemporary music festival will enter its second decade of existence, confirming its place in the Rennes events landscape. True to its original intention of breaking down barriers to contemporary music, it offers some fifteen events, half of which are free, showcasing the full diversity of expression in our era: written, improvised, instrumental, and electronic music, at the crossroads of scholarly and popular inspiration, daring but always welcoming. Antoniucci, Hi-hop disjonction
Cesson-Sévigné (35) 05 février > 27 mai 2026 “Hip hop disjonction” is the title given by Pierre Antoniucci to these new assemblages in which contemporary works are superimposed on three older works. Inspired by a hip-hop dance event that the artist observed at the Centquatre in Paris, he began to represent the dancers' movements. the Pinault Collection, 250m from the gallery during the summer of 2025 This summer, the Couvent des Jacobins in Rennes is hosting a selection of works from the Pinault Collection for an exhibition on the theme of portraiture and the gaze: “Les Yeux dans les yeux”. A total of 90 works from the Pinault Collection will be on display throughout the summer in Rennes, including photographs, paintings and monumental sculptures. Among the artists on show, for the first time in Rennes, will be Jean-Michel Basquiat, as well as works by Annie Leibovitz and Thomas Schütte. Oniris' renovation
of the historic gallery to be discovered as soon as possible! To celebrate its 38th anniversary, Oniris undertook a complete renovation of its main gallery at 38 rue d'Antrain during the summer of 2024. The gallery renovation project was coordinated by Rennes-based project management agency 1point61, under the direction of François Quenet. The entire gallery space has been renovated and brought up to standard, with raised ceilings, floors, walls, heating and lighting: only the shop window has been retained. Read more -

She makes visible the permanence in the heart of our time of a very old way of creating images and objects, often utilitarian or decorative, of which testifies here a Gallo-Roman stele which presents three almost identical female figures.
